
The fourth Randoli Perahera of the Kandy Esala Maha Perahera Festival is scheduled to parade through the streets today (26), with the Sri Lanka Police implementing a special security and traffic plan for the event.
The annual Kandy Esala Maha Perahera Festival, organized by the Sri Dalada Maligawa, commenced on August 18 and will continue until August 28.
A special security and traffic management plan has been implemented by the Sri Lanka Police, including roadblocks, security duties, vehicle and individual inspections, tourist guidance, and designated vehicle parking arrangements.
Today (26), the fourth Randoli Perahera will commence from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and proceed along Dalada Veediya, Yatinuwara Veediya, Cross Street, Kotugodella Veediya, Kande Veediya, D. S. Senanayake Veediya, and Raja Veediya before returning to the Temple.
The Perahera is scheduled to commence at 6:44 p.m., with the procession covering a total distance of 2.18 kilometres.
