Sri Lanka Customs has exceeded its revenue target for August, achieving the target several days ahead of the end of the month.
Customs had been set a revenue target of Rs. 190.274 billion for August. However, by August 27, it had already surpassed the target, recording revenue of Rs. 199.629 billion.
Customs revenue is therefore expected to exceed the Rs. 200 billion mark by the end of today (31), based on the revenue recorded so far.
For 2026, Sri Lanka Customs has been tasked with achieving an annual revenue target of Rs. 2,206.995 billion. During the first eight months of the year, the department has already collected total revenue of Rs. 1,832.7 billion.
Sri Lanka Customs also exceeded its annual revenue target in 2025, recording total revenue of Rs. 2,557.535 billion.
