Fire breaks out at three shops in Maho
A fire broke out at around 12:45 p.m. today (14) within three shops in Maho town, including a computer accessories store.
Area residents, along with officials from the Maho Pradeshiya Sabha and police officers, are making strenuous efforts to bring the blaze under control.
Meanwhile, fire engines belonging to the Kurunegala Municipal Council have been dispatched to the area to assist with firefighting efforts.
Viraj Dissanayake, the Deputy Director and Head of the Kurunegala District Disaster Management Centre, said the fire engines were sent to the area to help control the situation.
