The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal submitted by the Minister of Health and Mass Media to implement 39 new projects in the health sector aimed at improving public healthcare services.
The projects are intended to address identified infrastructure deficiencies in government hospitals and other healthcare institutions while developing modern infrastructure to upgrade facilities in line with contemporary healthcare standards and meet the country’s growing healthcare needs.
Following an evaluation of 41 project proposals submitted during 2025 and 2026, the National Planning Department has recommended that the projects be commenced and implemented in 2027.
Based on the readiness of the projects, 39 have been selected for implementation, with provisions expected to be allocated through the 2027 Budget.
The projects have already been included in the Public Investment Programme for the 2027–2031 period, according to the Department of Government Information.
