The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued an updated landslide early warning advisory for several districts across the country.
The warning has been issued due to heavy rainfall recorded during the past 24 hours, with residents in the affected areas urged to remain highly vigilant.
The advisory issued at 10.00 p.m. yesterday (20) will be valid until 10.00 p.m. today (21).
The areas under the warning are as follows:
Level 3 – Red Alert (Evacuation Warning)

Kandy – Pasbage Korale
Kegalle – Mawanella, Deraniyagala, Aranayake, Yatiyantota, Dehiowita
Nuwara Eliya – Norwood, East Kotmale, Ambagamuwa, West Kotmale
Ratnapura – Ratnapura
Level 2 – Amber Alert (Stay Alert Warning)
Colombo – Padukka
Galle – Nagoda, Thawalama
Kalutara – Palindanuwara, Agalawatta, Bulathsinhala, Ingiriya
Kandy – Gangaihala Korale, Udapalatha
