38 schools closed across Sri Lanka due to bad weather

The Ministry of Education states that 38 schools across the island have been granted a holiday today (21) due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing across the country.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the authority to decide whether to conduct school sessions under these circumstances has been delegated to the relevant local education authorities.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education noted that, as of 9:00 a.m. today, a total of 38 schools—including 35 schools in the Central Province and one school each in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Western Provinces—will remain closed today.
