World Heart Day is being commemorated today (29).

The day is observed annually by the World Heart Federation with the aim of raising public awareness about cardiovascular diseases, preventing heart attacks and encouraging people to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Heart disease is considered one of the leading causes of death worldwide. World Heart Day aims to raise awareness about heart-related illnesses and reduce preventable deaths through greater awareness and timely action.

This year’s World Heart Day theme is “Don’t Miss a Beat.”

The theme emphasizes the importance of recognizing the early warning signs of heart disease and taking timely action to protect heart health.
