India donates 3 tonnes of anti-TB medicines to Sri Lanka

India has donated three tonnes of anti-tuberculosis medicines to Sri Lanka.

 

Indian Foreign Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated that the consignment of medicines was send to Colombo yesterday (28) aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft.

 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jaishankar said that India remains committed to supporting Sri Lanka’s public health system.

 

Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the governments of Sri Lanka and China to support the reconstruction of 14 bridges damaged by Cyclone Ditwah.

 

The MoU was signed between the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport and Highways and the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, according to reports.
