13-hour water cut in several areas in Ratnapura today

Water supply to several areas in Ratnapura will be suspended for 13 hours today (30) due to essential maintenance work at the Kolonna Water Treatment Plant.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said the water supply will be suspended from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. today.
Accordingly, the water cut will be in effect for residents of Maduwanwela, Karagahayaya, Mahayaya, Kella, Alupoda, Welketiya and Jadura.
The Water Supply and Drainage Board said the maintenance work is being carried out to ensure a more efficient and improved water supply service.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water before the supply is suspended and to use the stored water sparingly during the interruption.
