Police have urged drivers to exercise extreme caution when travelling along the Hatton–Nuwara Eliya and Hatton–Colombo main roads as heavy rainfall continues to affect the central hills.
Meanwhile, several estate houses in low-lying areas of Bogawantalawa have been inundated due to heavy rain falling over the western slopes of the central highlands.
The adverse weather has also disrupted traffic movement in the area, with motorists facing difficult driving conditions.
