
The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) has issued landslide warnings for 13 Divisional Secretariat Divisions across five districts.
Warnings will remain in effect until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (05).
Landslide warnings have been issued under Alert Levels One and Two, with residents in the affected areas urged to remain vigilant.
Under Alert Level Two, warnings have been issued for the Passara Divisional Secretariat Division in the Badulla District; Minipe and Udadumbara in the Kandy District; Dehiowita in the Kegalle District and Ambanganga Korale, Matale and Rattota in the Matale District.
Meanwhile, Alert Level One warnings have been issued for Udapalatha in the Kandy District; Bulathkohupitiya and Rambukkana in the Kegalle District; and Eheliyagoda, Weligepola and Ayagama in the Ratnapura District.
The NBRI has advised residents in the affected areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions in the event of signs of landslides or other related hazards.
