DNA National List MP Tiran Allas told Ada Derana that he has been having discussions with President Rajapaksa for the last two months, to obtain a pardon for Sarath Fonseka.

Fonseka has said that he would not oppose any party seeking a President’s Pardon on his behalf.

However the imprisoned Democratic National Alliance (DNA) leader had said that neither he nor his family will initiate such a move, UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake told media on Saturday (18) following a visit to Fonseka.
