The government is considering giving university admission to 2011 A/L students in two batches, following the z-score issue, MP Namal Rajapaksa told Ada Derana.
He added that this has been contemplated to avoid doing injustice for student who sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination under the old and new syllabus.
The Hambantota District MP stated that he has held continuous discussion with the President and the relevant Minister regarding the matter and that necessary steps have been taken.
He pointed out that this will not be the first time two batches will be enrolled to university at once as it has been done previously.
The funds required for the simultaneously intake of two batches will be obtained by the relevant Minister by submitting a cabinet paper within the coming days, Namal Rajapaksa said.
