Former Akuressa PS Chairman remanded till Aug 20

The former Chairman of the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha who was arrested for the alleged molestation of a young girl was further remanded till August 20 by the Matara Chief Magistrate today (August 10).

The former Akuressa PS Chairman, Sunil Liyanage along with one of his relations was remanded under suspicion of molesting an underage girl in the area and was ordered today to be ket in remand till the 20th by Matara Chief Magistrate Udesh Ranatunga.
