SC issues stay order on Pudukuduirippu, Maritimepattu polls

The Supreme Court today issued a stay order preventing the holding of elections for Maritimepattu and Pudukuduirippu Pradeshiya Sabhas in the Mullaittivu District until March 27.

Following repeated postponements since 2011, based on court orders, the polls for the two Pradeshiya Sabhas were scheduled to be held tomorrow (Feb. 28).
