Colombo former Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage surrendered to the Court a short while ago on Thursday (02), Ada Derana reporter said.

Magistrate Gamage has also been sent on compulsory leave due to an ongoing investigation into the alleged possession of a baby elephant without a valid license.

Gamage had surrendered to the Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court in connection with the incident.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilaitiya had recently issued notice for Magistrate Gamage to appear before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to record a statement with respect to the case as well.
