MP Chamara Sampath and private secretary further remanded
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has rejected the bail applications filed by Member of Parliament Chamara Sampath Dassanayake and his private secretary in connection with a bribery case.
Accordingly, the court ordered that both suspects, who are currently in remand custody, to be further remanded until November 06, said Ada Derana reporter.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the order after considering submissions made by officials of the Bribery Commission and attorneys representing the suspects.
