Top LTTE suspects Gopi, Appan and Sundaralingam Kajeepan alias Thevian were killed in the clash between armed forces and suspected LTTE operatives on April 10 in Nedunkerny area of Vavuniya.
The three men were operating from a jungle in the Padaviya area of northern Mullaittivu district when they were surrounded by soldiers early Friday and were shot and killed while trying to escape the cordon.
