Nawalapitiya Traffic Police OIC Indika Nawalage has been arrested over the alleged acceptance of a bribe by the Bribery or Corruption commission today. A spokesman for the Bribery Commission told Ada Derana that the OIC had been arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 3,000.
He had attempted to solicit the bribe to produce a copy of a police entry of an accident, the spokesman claimed.
