Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, who was arrested on contempt of court charges and allegedly threatening Sandhya Eknaligoda, has been released on bail by the Homagama Magistrate today.
Gnanasara Thera was enlarged on two personal bails of Rs.100,000 each, Ada Derana reporter said.
The Thera was arrested after he surrendered to the Homagama police on January 26.
A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Gnanasara Thera on the charges of allegedly threatening Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda at the court premises and over contempt of court.
Sandhya Eknaligoda had arrived at the premises for the hearing into the Habeas Corpus case in respect of the disappearance case.
