Yoshitha Rajapaksa granted bail over property case

Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been granted bail after appearing before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate over a case filed regarding a property and house in Mihindu Mawatha, Dehiwala.

 

He was ordered released on three personal bails of Rs 1 million each.

 

The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court had issued notice for Yoshitha Rajapaksa to appear in Court today (16) based on a request made by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).

 

The Financial Crimes Investigation Division has indicted him over a land and house situated at Mihindu Mawatha in Dehiwela. However, Yoshitha has claimed that the property was gifted to him by his grandmother.
