Two suspects have been arrested in connection with gunning down and murdering a funeral parlour owner in Middeniya in June.

A T-56 weapon, a magazine and 17 rounds of live ammunition were also recovered during this raid, the police said.

On June 26, a 52-year-old man named Prabhath Manjula was shot and killed in front of a funeral parlour in the Middeniya area.

According to the police, the shooting had been carried out by an unidentified gunman. The victim was identified as the owner of the said funeral parlour.

Previously, the Police Special Task Force had taken another suspect into custody in connection with the murder.
