2022 O/L exam: Island’s top rankers are from Kandy, Jaffna and Colombo

A total of 13,588 students who sat for the 2022(2023) G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination have secured ‘A’ passes for all 9 subjects.

 

Samadhi Anuradha Ranawaka of Mahamaya Girls’ School in Kandy has topped them all, becoming the island’s first in the exam.

 

Meanwhile, Aksheiya Ananda Swanand of Vembadi Girls’ High School in Jaffna and Haritha Minsandu Alahakoon of Royal College in Colombo have secured the second and third places, respectively.

 

Based on the results, 72.02% of the students have qualified to sit for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.

 

The Department of Examinations released the exam results last night (Nov.30) on its official website: www.doenets.lk / www.results.exams.gov.lk

 

Applications for re-scrutinizing the results will be accepted from December 14 - 18.

 

The exam was held from May 29 to June 08 this year at 3,568 centres island-wide and with 472,553 candidates in total sitting for the exam.
