Train derails in Rambukkana area; services unaffected – Railway Dept

 The Railway Department of Sri Lanka has stated that a train has derailed in the Rambukkana area.

 

Superintendent of Train Operations, Asanka Samarasinghe, said the train, which was scheduled to operate from Rambukkana to Panadura, derailed while in service.

 

He further noted that the incident is not expected to cause any disruption or delays to train services.

 

Railway authorities have already commenced operations to re-rail the affected train.
