In spite of the US-Iran ceasefire deal, Israel will continue to occupy parts of Lebanon, Syria and Gaza "indefinitely", the Israeli defence minister has said.
Israel Katz said seizing the area in Lebanon during the Iran war was one of the military's "greatest achievements" during the offensive.
Southern Lebanon will subsequently "be cleared" of local residents and "all terrorist" infrastructure, including houses, Katz added.
Benjamin Netanyahu also communicated this yesterday to Donald Trump and senior US officials, according to Katz.
He also warned Israel would strike back if Iran attacked Israel due to events in Lebanon.
"We are committed only to our citizens and the security of the State of Israel," he added, saying Israel would "not compromise" on its security interests.
