
The Court of Appeal today dismissed a revision petition filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, which sought a ruling that the charge of “conspiracy” in a case filed against him by the Attorney General before the Colombo High Court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act cannot be maintained.
The Court of Appeal bench, comprising Justices Amal Ranaraja and Dr. Sumudu Premachandra, delivered the ruling after considering the revision petition filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa challenging the said case, said Ada Derana reporter.
