Hatton–Colombo main road at Rozella restricted to one lane
A section of the Hatton–Colombo main road at Rozella in Watawala has been placed under close observation after heavy rainfall triggered a risk of road subsidence, officials said.
A.M. Sadhik, the Executive Engineer of the Norwood Road Office said the affected stretch has been restricted to a single lane to ensure the safety of motorists.
Authorities have urged drivers travelling between Hatton and Kitulgala along the Hatton–Colombo main road to exercise caution as severe weather conditions continue to affect the region.
Motorists have been advised to remain alert and follow traffic instructions while passing through the affected area until further notice.
