First Randoli Perahera of Kandy Esala Perahera to parade tonight
The first Randoli Perahera of the historic Kandy Esala Perahera festival is scheduled to take to the streets today (23) at 6:44 p.m., at an auspicious time.
The procession is scheduled to proceed along Dalada Veediya, Temple Street, Deva Veediya, Colombo Street, Kotugodella Veediya, Cross Street, D.S. Senanayake Veediya and Raja Veediya before returning to the Sri Dalada Maligawa premises.
A special traffic plan has been implemented in Kandy during the procession, while the Police have also introduced alternative routes for motorists during this period.
