
Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath has expressed his deep condolences and solidarity with the people of Nepal following devastating floods reported in Rasuwa District and other parts of the country.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Herath said he was deeply saddened by the situation and extended his thoughts to all those affected, particularly the families and communities facing the consequences of the disaster.
He also commended the efforts of the Nepalese authorities and all personnel involved in ongoing rescue and relief operations.
Minister Herath reaffirmed that Sri Lanka stands in full solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal as they navigate the challenging situation.
