The Department of Meteorology has issued an “Amber” advisory for high waves about 2.0 meters – 3.0 meters height in the sea areas extending from Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Matara.
The advisory issued at 12.00 noon today (13) will be in effect until 12.00 noon tomorrow (14).
Accordingly, the naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
