Funeral of Dehiwala grenade attack victims to be held tomorrow
The funeral of two brothers who were killed in a grenade attack on a house along the Sirisangabo Mawatha, Dehiwala, is scheduled to take place tomorrow (14) at the Mount Lavinia Public Cemetery.
The bodies of the two children were brought to the home of a relative last night (12).
The victims have been identified as a 17-year-old boy and his 11-year-old younger brother. The brothers had been raised by their father after losing their mother at a young age.
The two sustained critical injuries in the grenade attack and later succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at hospital on September 11.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, with the attacker yet to be identified.
