September Aswesuma payments to be credited on Wednesday
The Aswesuma welfare payments for the month of September will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts on Wednesday (16), according to the Welfare Benefits Board.
A total of Rs. 9.18 billion will be paid to 992,053 beneficiary families under the first phase of the Aswesuma programme.
Meanwhile, 213,335 families receiving benefits under the second phase will receive a total of Rs. 2.12 billion.
Beneficiaries will be able to access their payments through their Aswesuma bank accounts from September 17, Chairman of the Welfare Benefits Board Nimal Kotawalagedara confirmed.
