Five injured in three-vehicle collision at Meegahakiula
Five persons, including a four-year-old girl, were injured in a collision involving a motorcycle, a private bus, and a three-wheeler.
The accident occurred near the 16th Mile Post Junction in Meegahakiula on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya main road this morning (15).
The motorcycle rider, the female driver of the three-wheeler, and three other females travelling in the three-wheeler including the four-year-old girl sustained injuries in the accident, Ada Derana reporter said.
The injured persons were initially admitted to Meegahakiula District Hospital and were subsequently transferred to Badulla Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The Traffic Division of the Kandaketiya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
