Constructed under the Colombo Urban Regeneration Project and implemented by the Urban Development Authority, the project cost Rs. 9.866 billion, funded through an Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank loan.
The 15-storey complex comprises 1,000 housing units, each measuring 5,00 square feet, together with facilities including a health centre, community hall, daycare centre, police post, Grama Niladhari office, fire unit, supermarket, children’s park and sports facilities.
Further infrastructure improvements are reportedly planned for the area, including upgrades to the road and canal networks, construction of a new community hall and development of the existing playground.
