27th Colombo International Book Fair commences at BMICH

The 27th Colombo International Book Fair, organized by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association, commenced this morning (25) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises.

 

The event was inaugurated under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and will run for 10 days until October 4.

 

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Professor Upul Subasinghe, and new Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wei Huaxiang were among those who attended the opening ceremony.

 

The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
