Water levels in several rivers continue to decline
The Department of Irrigation states that the water levels of rivers that had risen due to heavy rainfall are currently receding.
However, the Kuda Ganga at Millakanda, the Gin Ganga at Baddegama, and the Nilwala Ganga at Thalgahagoda remain at minor flood levels.
According to a notice issued by the Department of Irrigation, water levels at these locations continue to decline.
The department further stated that although the water level of the Nilwala Ganga at Panadugama had reached an alert level, it is also currently receding.
