One worker dead, 2 hospitalised after electrocution during power pole installation

One person has died while three others were injured after four electricity workers were reportedly electrocuted while attempting to repair an electricity pole in the Kadawatha-Mankada Road area without disconnecting the high-voltage power line.

One of the workers died as a result of the incident, and two others have been admitted to Ragama Hospital.

It is reported that the incident occurred today (02) between 12.00 p.m. and 1.00 p.m.
