Sri Lanka bowled out for 255 in first ODI

Sri Lanka were bowled out for 255 in the first ODI of the three-match day-night series against Bangladesh being played in Chattogram on Wednesday (13).

Having won the toss, Sri Lanka’s skipper Kusal Mendis opted to bat first against Bangladesh this evening. 

Opener Kusal Mendis managed to hit 59 runs in 75 deliveries to help Sri Lanka’s total before he was caught out as Najmul Hossain Shanto took the simplest of catches at mid-off. Janith Liyanage top-scored for the visitors with 67 runs, while Pathum Nissanka and Avishka Fernando registered 36 and 33 respectively. Bangladesh’s Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked-up 03 wickets each.
 
The hosts lost the T20I series 1-2 and would look to set the record straight in ODIs.
