VIDEO: 26 Postal Dept vehicles damaged by substandard diesel

A total of 26 vehicles of the Department of Post have been damaged after using substandard diesel, according to Postal Trade Unions.

President of the Ceylon Postal Services Union, Jayantha Wijesinghe said 26 lorries and vans owned by the Postal Department have been damaged due to pumping substandard fuel and cannot be operated.

Post Master General Rohana Abeyratne, speaking to Ada Derana, conceded that several vehicles had malfunctioned and that as an alternative fuel has been obtained from Lanka IOC to be used by vehicles.
