General Secretary of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera today said that their organization would support President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential election in next year January.
The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo, this afternoon (27).
“We would support the leader who saved the country from 30 years of terrorism,” Gnanasara Thera told reporters.
He also added that the BBS would strongly oppose against the Muslim extremists in the country, but their organization has no disputes with the Muslim community.
Meanwhile, Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena while addressing an event held in Colombo today said that he is not surprised and okay with the decision taken by the BBS to back President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the election.
