Dilith warns of ‘irreversible mistake’ if wrong decision made in upcoming election

The presidential candidate of the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance, entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera urged people to take the correct decisions by looking carefully at all the parties with a correct vision.

He cautioned that failing to make the right decision in the upcoming presidential election could result in an irreversible mistake by the current generation.

He stated this while addressing a public rally held in front of the Public Market Complex in Ayagama today (9), as part of the ‘Dilith Gamata’ series of meetings.

He expressed concern over threats to the country’s territorial integrity, stating, “It is very clear that the territorial integrity of our country is being threatened. They repeatedly claim that there is no such thing as civilization and culture in this country. That means we are a country without culture and civilization.”

“It is true that none of them have civility and culture, and we should sympathize with that. The 3% of the people are without any culture or civilization in the world. That is the truth. But this effort to impose it on the remaining 97% must be defeated,” he said.

Jayaweera urged citizens to stay vigilant, saying, “Therefore, we must say to the patriotic people of this country that they should watch cautiously as to what is going to happen. The decision should be made based on that. If not, an irreversible mistake could happen to this country from our generation, in our lifetime.”

He also commented on the release of election manifestos by the main candidates, stating, “At a time when all three are going to betray the country, three manifestos have been published. Apart from the covers, the difference between those three books is that the paragraphs of betrayal are written in different letters in different places.”
