VIDEO: Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya re-elected as GMOA President

Dr. Anurudda Padeniya has been re-elected as the President of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) at the election held today (June 28).

Dr. Padeniya had received over 95 per cent of the total votes during the election of the 88 year old association.

Dr. Lasantha Jinadasa has been elected as the Secretary while Dr. Nath Wijesooriya was elected Treasurer of the GMOA, which boasts a membership exceeding 16000.

Final Results of GMOA Election 2014:

President post:
Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya – 2660 (95.05%)
Dr. Niroshan Premaratne – 138 (04.93%)

Secretary post:
Dr. Lasantha Jinadasa – 2574 (94.74%)
Dr. J.R. Saranapala -143 (05.26%)

Treasurer post:
Dr. Nath Wijesooriya 2498 (92.31%)
Dr. Thiruma Kumaraswamy 208 (07.68%)
