The authorities are yet to locate some 300 vehicles used by the ex-government’s ministers, Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Rajitha Senaratne said.

The observation was made while addressing the weekly cabinet briefing held at the Government Information Department, on Thursday (5) morning.

Senaratne added in spite of regulations that a minister is eligible to use two state owned vehicles, they received information of some former ministers had taken possession of over 20 vehicles.

Recently, the police also announced that they don’t know the whereabouts of over 120 vehicles belong to the President Secretariat Office. Police Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana too requested the public to notify the police regarding any information leading to these missing vehicles.
