Won’t support an impeachment against President – Mano
Mobitel Inner

A group of individuals are attempting to bring forth an impeachment move against President Maithripala Sirisena, however, none of the parliamentarians of the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) will support this action, says former minister Mano Ganesan.

He stated this addressing a meeting held in Hatton today (09), to educate the estate workers on the political crisis that has arisen in the country.

Commenting further MP Mano Ganesan stated that TPA is an upright political alliance, respected by many.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Leader of TPA and former Minister Palany Thigambaram said that a considerable number of persons have invited them with privileges to support the current government.

The TPA that has earned the trust of the people residing in estates would not betray its principles, Thigambaram added.

Commenting at the meeting, former State Minister V. Radhakrishnan said that both parties should hold discussions and restore the democracy in the country.

The media freedom established by President Maithripala Sirisena and the UNP is being impeded, however, it should not be allowed under any circumstances, he further stated addressing the meeting.
