The Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) has officially joined the United National Party (UNP) led alliance ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ today (26).
Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa mentioned this holding a special press briefing at the parliamentary premises this morning.
The Democratic People’s Front (DPF) led by MP Mano Ganesan, National Union of Workers (NUW), led by P. Thigambaram and the Up-Country People’s Front (UCPF) led by P. Radhakrishnan are allied under the TPA.
Premadasa says that the support was pledged with the unanimous decision of the leaders and members of all three parties under the TPA.
Meanwhile, Sajith Premadasa yesterday (25), announced that Jathika Hela Urumaya, led by MP Patali Champika Ranawaka, also joined the ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ a major stakeholder.
