Religious rites performed for the late Visharad Nanda Malini
The Pansukula rites for the late veteran singer Visharad Dr. Nanda Malini were performed this morning (22) at the Nanda Malini Sangeetha Ashramaya (Music Academy) in Nugegoda.
The Maha Sangha performed the funeral rites at around 10.00 a.m. at the Music Academy, located at No. 30, Vijayaba Mawatha, Nawala Road, Nugegoda.
Following the religious rites, the public will have the opportunity to pay their final respects to the late singer’s remains until 3.30 p.m.
Thereafter, the funeral procession carrying her remains will proceed to the General Cemetery in Borella.
The cremation is scheduled to take place at 5.00 p.m. today.
