
Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa today (10) met with opposition MPs representing the North, East and Malaiyaham communities to discuss the challenges faced by the people in these areas.
The meeting, held at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Parliament, focused on rising living costs, inflation, household incomes and infrastructure concerns.
Healthcare, education, access to quality medical services, school education and child nutrition were also discussed during the meeting.
Sajith Premadasa stressed the need for continued political intervention to address the longstanding social and economic issues affecting these communities and improve their living standards.
The importance of closer coordination among opposition MPs to identify issues at the grassroots level and work towards practical solutions was also discussed.
