Suspect arrested over Mahiyanganaya murder
Sri Lanka Police said that a suspect allegedly involved in the murder of an individual who was attacked with a sharp weapon in front of a house in the Aluketiyawa area of Mahiyanganaya has been arrested.
The suspect was arrested last night (10) following a special investigation launched by officers attached to the Mahiyanganaya Police Station into the incident, which occurred on September 10.
As a result of the investigation, police have apprehended the suspect wanted in connection with the murder.
The arrested suspect has been identified as a 22-year-old man residing in the Mapakadawewa area, police said.
Mahiyanganaya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
