Suspected drug network operator linked to ‘Kalubowila Avishka’ arrested
The individual allegedly operating the local drug network of organized criminal and large-scale drug trafficker known as “Kalubowila Avishka” has been arrested with of 'Ice' (crystal methamphetamine) and heroin.
The suspect was arrested during a raid carried out in the Kalubowila area of Kohuwala, based on information received by officers of the Organised Crime Prevention Unit of the Police Special Task Force (STF).
Police had recovered 2 kilograms and 10 grams of ‘Ice,’ 504 grams of heroin, an electronic weighing scale, two rubber stamps and two mobile phones in the suspect’s possession.
The suspect and the drugs were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations, the STF said.
