The Department of Meteorology has issued an “Amber” advisory for heavy rains affecting the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The advisory, issued at 06.00 a.m. today (20), will remain in effect until 06.00 a.m. tomorrow (21).
Accordingly, heavy rainfall above 100 mm will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
